The CNY64, CNY65, and CNY66 are optocouplers featuring a phototransistor output optically coupled to a gallium arsenide infrared-emitting diode. Designed for high safety requirements, these devices offer a very high isolation voltage and a distance between input and output exceeding 3 mm. They are suitable for circuits requiring safe protective separation against electrical shock, conforming to safety class II (reinforced isolation) and various international safety standards including DIN EN 60747-5-2 (VDE 0884), IEC 60950/EN 60950, and others. Applications include switch-mode power supplies, line receivers, and computer peripheral and microprocessor system interfaces.
