Product Overview

The ORIENT OR-6N138/6N139 are high-performance photocouplers designed for digital logic ground isolation, low input current line receivers, telephone ring detection, EIA-RS-232C line reception, current loop reception, and high common mode noise line reception. These devices feature a high current transfer ratio (up to 2000% typical), low input current requirements (0.5mA), high output current (60mA), and guaranteed CTR over a wide temperature range (0~70). They offer instantaneous common mode rejection of 10KV/sec and are available in an 8-pin DIP package with options for wide-lead spacing and SMD. The devices consist of an infrared emitting diode optically coupled to a high gain split Darlington photo detector with an accessible base terminal for gain bandwidth adjustment.
