Half Duplex RS485 Transceiver NOVOSENSE NSi83085E-DSWR with Digital Isolation and 10kV ESD Protection
Product Overview
The NSi83085E and NSi83086E are high reliability isolated RS-485 transceivers from NOVOSENSE, leveraging digital isolation technology. The NSi83085E is a half-duplex transceiver, while the NSi83086E is a full-duplex transceiver. Both devices are safety certified by UL1577, supporting 5kVrms insulation withstand voltages, offering high electromagnetic immunity, low emissions, and low power consumption. They feature 10kV system-level ESD protection on the bus pins and fail-safe circuitry for logic-high receiver output when inputs are open or shorted. With a 1/8-unit-load receiver input impedance, up to 256 transceivers can be connected on the bus. The NSi83085E supports data rates up to 12Mbps with slew-rate limiting to reduce EMI and reflections, while the NSi83086E supports data rates up to 16Mbps.
