The FDA215 is a dual photovoltaic MOSFET driver designed for isolated switching applications. It utilizes optically coupled LEDs to drive photodiode arrays, generating a floating source voltage and current capable of driving high-power MOSFET transistors. The device offers dual independent, floating outputs that can be configured for parallel, series, or isolated operation. With a 5mA control current, it is suitable for AC and DC switching and can serve as a replacement for discrete components. Key applications include process control, instrumentation, and telecommunications. The FDA215 provides a high level of input-to-output isolation, VDE compatibility, and solid-state reliability without EMI/RFI generation.
