HCPL-7721 Optocoupler
The HCPL-7721 is an 8-pin DIP package optocoupler utilizing the latest CMOS IC technology to achieve excellent performance with very low power consumption. It requires only two bypass capacitors for full CMOS compatibility. The device integrates a CMOS LED driver IC, a high-speed LED, and a CMOS detector IC. The CMOS logic input signal controls the LED driver IC, which provides current to the LED. The detector IC includes an integrated photodiode, a high-speed transimpedance amplifier, and a voltage comparator with an output driver. This optocoupler is ideal for digital field bus isolation, AC plasma display panel level shifting, multiplexed data transmission, computer peripheral interfaces, and microprocessor system interfaces. It offers high speed, low propagation delay deviation, and a wide operating temperature range.
