Product Description

The FOD3182 is a high-speed, 3A output current, MOSFET gate drive optocoupler. It comprises an aluminum gallium arsenide (AlGaAs) light-emitting diode (LED) optically coupled to a CMOS sensor with PMOS and NMOS output power transistors. This device offers excellent noise immunity with 50kV/s common-mode rejection at VCM=2000V and operates across a wide temperature range of -40 to +100. Key features include a 3A peak output current, fast switching speeds (210ns max propagation delay), fast output rise/fall times for reduced dynamic power loss, and a wide VDD operating range (10V to 30V). The output stage utilizes P-channel MOSFETs for rail-to-rail output voltage swing and includes Under Voltage Lockout (UVLO) protection with hysteresis for optimized MOSFET driving. It is ideally suited for applications such as plasma display panels (PDPs), inverter controls for electric motors, and high-performance DC/DC converters.
