The KL302X is a random-phase Triac driver photocoupler designed for interfacing electronic controls with power Triacs. It consists of a GaAs infrared emitting diode optically coupled to a monolithic silicon random phase photo Triac. This device is suitable for controlling resistive and inductive loads in 115 to 240 VAC operations, finding applications in solenoid/valve controls, temperature controls, motor controls, static AC power switches, interfacing microprocessors to AC peripherals, and incandescent lamp dimmers/ballasts.
