The ICPL-481 series is a fast-speed photocoupler designed for high common mode rejection. It features an inverter logic type with a totem pole output, eliminating the need for external pull-up resistors and allowing direct drive of Intelligent Power Modules or gate drives. The integrated Schmitt trigger provides logic-compatible waveforms without additional wave shaping. With minimized propagation delay differences, this photocoupler is ideal for improving inverter efficiency by reducing switching dead time. It is suitable for applications requiring isolated IGBT/MOSFET gate drive, AC and brushless DC motor drives, and industrial inverters.
