Product Overview
The PVI Series Photovoltaic Isolator generates an electrically isolated DC voltage from a DC input signal, suitable for directly driving power MOSFET or IGBT gates. It features a monolithic integrated circuit photovoltaic generator optically isolated from a GaAlAs LED. Ideal for high-current/high-voltage switching applications requiring isolation between low-level drive and high-energy load circuits. Dual-channel devices offer flexibility for driving independent MOSFETs or series/parallel configurations for higher current/voltage drive. These isolators include fast turn-off circuitry and are available in 8-pin DIP packages with thru-hole or surface-mount leads.
