Product Overview
The PVI Series Photovoltaic Isolator is a monolithic integrated circuit that generates an electrically isolated DC voltage in response to a DC input signal. It is designed for applications requiring high-current and/or high-voltage switching with optical isolation between low-level driving circuitry and high-energy load circuits. It can directly drive the gates of power MOSFETs and IGBTs. The dual-channel devices offer flexibility for driving independent MOSFETs or connecting outputs in parallel/series for higher current or voltage drive. The series features solid-state reliability and fast turn-off circuitry, packaged in 8-pin DIP packages with thru-hole or surface-mount options.
