Product Overview
The CMT804X series are high-performance, quad-channel digital isolators utilizing silicon dioxide (SiO2) isolation technology, supporting up to 5 kVrms isolation voltage. These digital isolators facilitate communication between two different power domains, preventing noise currents on data buses or other circuits from entering the local ground or interfering with and damaging sensitive circuits. The devices feature an enable pin for placing outputs in a high-impedance state in multi-master drive applications, reducing power consumption. The CMT804X offers up to four forward channels and two reverse channels. Depending on the model (CMT804X1 defaults to high output, CMT804X0 defaults to low output upon loss of input power or signal), these isolators provide high electromagnetic immunity and low radiation at low power consumption, thanks to innovative chip design and layout. They are available in both SOIC-16 wide and narrow body packages.
