Product Overview
The CMT804X series are high-performance, quad-channel digital isolators utilizing silicon dioxide (SiO2) insulation, capable of supporting up to 5 kVrms isolation voltage. These digital isolators facilitate communication between two different power domains, preventing noise currents on data buses or other circuits from entering the local ground or interfering with and damaging sensitive circuits. The devices feature an enable pin for placing outputs in a high-impedance state in multi-master drive applications, reducing power consumption. The CMT804X series offers up to four forward channels and two backward channels. Depending on the model (CMT804X1 defaults to high output, CMT804X0 defaults to low output), they ensure signal integrity during power or signal loss. These isolators achieve high electromagnetic immunity and low radiation at low power consumption, thanks to innovative chip design and layout, meeting system-level ESD, EFT, surge, and radiation compliance requirements. The CMT804X series is available in both SOIC-16 wide and narrow body packages.
