The Cosmo KTLP161J series are 4-pin mini-flat zero-cross TRIAC driver photocouplers. They integrate a GaAs infrared emitting diode with a monolithic silicon detector to provide a zero voltage crossing bilateral TRIAC driver function. Designed for interfacing logic systems with 115/240 VAC powered equipment, these devices are ideal for applications such as solid-state relays, industrial controls, motors, solenoids, and consumer appliances. Key advantages include Pb-free and RoHS compliance, 600V peak blocking voltage, a subminiature size (30% smaller than conventional DIP types), and simplified logic control of AC power. They offer an isolation voltage of 3750Vrms and are MSL class 1 compliant.
