The Broadcom ACPL-217 is a single-channel, half-pitch phototransistor optocoupler designed for DC input. It features a light-emitting diode optically coupled to a phototransistor and is housed in a 4-pin SO package. With a high input-output isolation voltage of 3750VRMS, a typical response time of 2 s, and a minimum CTR of 50% at 5 mA input current, the ACPL-217 is suitable for I/O interfacing in programmable controllers, sequence controllers, system appliances, and for signal transmission between circuits of different potentials and impedances.
