The Broadcom ACPL-2x4 series are AC-input, multi-channel, half-pitch phototransistor optocouplers designed for reliable signal transmission between circuits with different potentials and impedances. These optocouplers feature inverse parallel connected LEDs optically coupled to separate phototransistors, offering high input-output isolation voltage of 3750 VRMS. The series includes the ACPL-224 (dual-channel, 8-pin SO package) and ACPL-244 (quad-channel, 16-pin SO package). They are suitable for applications such as I/O interfaces for programmable controllers and computers, sequence controllers, system appliances, and measuring instruments, providing a non-saturated response time of typically 2 s and a minimum CTR of 20% at 1 mA input current.
