Product Overview

The Broadcom ACPL-K43T and ACPL-K44T are single and dual-channel digital optocouplers, respectively, designed for high-temperature automotive applications. These devices feature a miniature eight-lead footprint in a stretched SO-8 package, compatible with standard surface-mount processes. They utilize an insulating layer between the LED and photo detector for electrical insulation and incorporate separate connections for photodiode bias and output transistor collector to enhance speed. Broadcom R2Coupler isolation products offer reinforced insulation and reliability, critical for safe signal isolation in demanding automotive and high-temperature industrial environments. Key applications include automotive IPM drivers for DC-DC converters and motor inverters, status feedback and wake-up signal isolation, CANBus and SPI communication interfaces, and high-temperature digital/analog signal isolation.
