Product Overview

These diode-transistor optocouplers provide electrical insulation between input and output using an insulating layer between a LED and an integrated photodetector. They offer enhanced speed, up to a hundred times faster than conventional photo-transistor couplers, by reducing base-collector capacitance through separate connections for the photodiode bias and output-transistor collector. Available in 8-pin DIP and SO-8 packages, these optocouplers are suitable for LVTTL/LVCMOS or wide bandwidth analog applications, featuring a common mode transient immunity of 1000 V/s minimum. Key applications include high voltage insulation, video signal isolation, power translator isolation in motor drives, line receivers, and feedback elements in switched mode power supplies.
