The Broadcom HCPL-315X series, comprising the HCPL-3150 (single channel) and HCPL-315J (dual channel), are optically coupled isolators designed for driving power IGBTs and MOSFETs in motor control inverter applications. These optocouplers feature an integrated circuit with a power output stage, providing the necessary drive voltages and currents for gate-controlled devices. They are ideally suited for directly driving IGBTs up to 1200V/50A or for driving discrete power stages for higher-rated IGBTs.
