Product Overview

The Avago ACPL-336J is a highly integrated 2.5 Amp gate drive optocoupler designed for driving IGBTs and power MOSFETs in motor control and inverter applications. It features fast propagation delay with excellent timing skew performance, along with integrated fail-safe IGBT protection including desaturation detection with soft-shutdown and fault feedback, and undervoltage lockout (UVLO) with feedback. Additional smart features include active Miller current clamping and an integrated input LED driver for enhanced noise immunity. This compact, surface-mountable SO-16 package offers space savings and provides reinforced insulation and reliability critical for high voltage and noisy industrial environments. It is suitable for renewable energy inverters, AC and brushless DC motor drives, industrial inverters, and switching power supplies.
