Product Overview
These diode-transistor optocouplers provide electrical insulation between input and output using an internal insulating layer between a LED and a photodetector. Enhanced speed, up to a hundred times that of conventional photo-transistor couplers, is achieved by reducing base-collector capacitance through separate photodiode bias and output-transistor collector connections. Available in 8-pin DIP and SO-8 packages, these optocouplers offer low power consumption and are compatible with LVTTL/LVCMOS or wide bandwidth analog applications. They boast a minimum common mode transient immunity of 1000 V/s. Key applications include high voltage insulation, video signal isolation, power translator isolation in motor drives, line receivers, feedback elements in switched mode power supplies, high-speed logic ground isolation, and as replacements for pulse transformers and slow phototransistor isolators.
