Product Overview

The HCPL-3120, HCPL-J312, and HCNW3120 are high-performance optocouplers designed for driving power IGBTs and MOSFETs in motor control inverter applications. Featuring integrated circuits with power output stages, these devices offer high operating voltage ranges suitable for gate-controlled devices. They are capable of directly driving IGBTs up to 1200 V/100 A, or driving discrete power stages for higher-rated IGBTs. The HCNW3120 boasts the highest insulation voltage (VIORM=1414Vpeak) among the series, while the HCPL-J312 offers VIORM = 1230Vpeak, and the HCPL-3120 (Option 060) provides VIORM = 630Vpeak. These optocouplers are ideal for applications including IGBT/MOSFET gate drive, AC/Brushless DC motor drives, industrial inverters, and switch-mode power supplies.
