Product Overview

The HCPL-261A family of optically coupled gates offers HCMOS compatible input current, allowing direct interface with common circuit topologies without additional LED buffer components. These optocouplers provide high speed (10 MBd typical) and excellent Common Mode Rejection (CMR), with minimums of 1000 V/s at VCM = 50 V for the HCPL-261A family and 15 kV/s at VCM = 1000 V for the HCPL-261N family. They are specified over an industrial temperature range of -40C to +85C and are available in 8-pin DIP and SOIC-8 packages. Applications include isolated line receivers, simplex/multiplex data transmission, computer-peripheral interfaces, digital isolation for A/D and D/A conversion, switching power supplies, instrumentation input/output isolation, ground loop elimination, and pulse transformer replacement.
