Product Overview
The HCPL-4504 series high CMR, high-speed optocouplers are designed for applications requiring short propagation delays and high common-mode transient immunity. These optocouplers feature an integrated high-gain photodetector and are available with either a GaAsP LED (HCPL-4504/0454) or an AlGaAs LED (HCPL-J454/HCNW4504). They are ideal for inverter circuits, Intelligent Power Module (IPM) interfacing, line receivers, and high-speed logic ground isolation. Their design offers advantages over pulse transformers by saving board space and weight, and the integrated photodetector provides improved linearity over phototransistors. The guaranteed propagation delay difference (tPLH-tPHL) is particularly beneficial for minimizing dead time in power inverter applications.
