The HCPL-7520 is an isolated linear current sensing IC family specifically designed for current sensing in low-power electronic motor drives. It accurately monitors motor current by sensing the analog voltage drop across an external resistor and translating it into an output voltage across an optical isolation barrier. Engineered to reject high common-mode transient slew rates (up to 15 kV/s), it provides the precision and stability required for accurate motor current monitoring in noisy motor control environments, contributing to smoother motor control with reduced torque ripple. The HCPL-7520 also serves general analog signal isolation applications.
