Product Overview
The HCPL-3120, HCPL-J312, and HCNW3120 are high-output current IGBT gate drive optocouplers designed for driving power IGBTs and MOSFETs in motor control inverter applications. They offer a maximum peak output current of 2.5 A and a wide operating VCC range of 15 to 30 Volts. These optocouplers provide a low maximum low-level output voltage (VOL) of 0.5 V, eliminating the need for negative gate drive in many applications. They feature Under Voltage Lock-Out (UVLO) protection with hysteresis and industrial temperature range operation (-40C to 100C). The series is suitable for directly driving IGBTs up to 1200 V/100 A or driving discrete power stages for higher rated IGBTs. Applications include IGBT/MOSFET gate drive, AC/Brushless DC motor drives, industrial inverters, and switch mode power supplies.
