Product Overview

The ACPL-P480 and ACPL-W480 are fast-speed optocouplers designed for Intelligent Power Module (IPM) and gate drive interface applications. These devices integrate a GaAsP LED with a photo detector and a built-in Schmitt trigger, eliminating the need for external wave shaping circuitry. Their totem pole output stage negates the requirement for a pull-up resistor, enabling direct drive of IPMs or gate drives. Key advantages include minimized propagation delay difference, which enhances inverter efficiency by reducing switching dead time, and very high Common Mode Rejection (CMR). They are specified for common IPM applications over an industrial temperature range, offering reliable performance in demanding environments.
