Product Overview

The HCPL-261A family of optically coupled gates offers HCMOS compatible input current, enabling direct interface with common circuit topologies without additional LED buffer or drive components. These optocouplers utilize an AlGaAs LED for lower drive currents and reduced degradation. They provide high speed (10 MBd typical), high Common Mode Rejection (CMR) performance, and are specified over an industrial temperature range of -40C to +85C. Available in 8-pin DIP and SOIC-8 packages, they are suitable for applications such as isolated line receivers, simplex/multiplex data transmission, computer-peripheral interfaces, digital isolation for A/D and D/A conversion, switching power supplies, instrumentation isolation, ground loop elimination, and as pulse transformer replacements.
