The Broadcom ACPL-x6xL series low-power digital optocouplers integrate an AlGaAs LED with a high-gain photodetector, offering efficient digital signal isolation. Consuming minimal power (max 1.3 mA IDD per channel) and requiring as little as 1.6 mA forward LED current, these optocouplers are directly drivable by most microprocessors. They feature a Faraday shield for robust common-mode transient immunity (20 kV/s) and provide TTL/CMOS compatibility. With slew-rate controlled CMOS outputs, they ensure controlled rise and fall times across various load capacitances. These devices operate from 3.3V and 5V supply voltages and maintain guaranteed AC/DC performance from 40C to +105C, making them ideal for high-speed logic interface applications, communication interfaces (RS485, CANBus, I2C), microprocessor system interfaces, and digital isolation for A/D and D/A converters.
