The Broadcom HCPL-M452/HCPL-M453 are small outline, 5-lead, high-speed diode-transistor optocouplers designed for surface mounting. These devices offer high common-mode transient immunity and high-speed operation up to 1 Mb/s, making them suitable for TTL/TTL applications and general logic ground isolation. They feature an open-collector output and are compatible with infrared vapor phase reflow and wave soldering processes. The optocouplers are designed to replace slower phototransistor couplers and pulse transformers, saving board space and weight. They are UL Recognized and CSA Approved, ensuring worldwide safety compliance.
