Product Overview

The HCPL-3120, HCPL-J312, and HCNW3120 are high-output current IGBT gate drive optocouplers designed for driving power IGBTs and MOSFETs in motor control inverter applications. These optocouplers feature a maximum peak output current of 2.5 A, a low maximum output low-level voltage (VOL) of 0.5 V, and a wide operating VCC range of 15 to 30 Volts. They offer Under Voltage Lock-Out (UVLO) protection with hysteresis and fast switching speeds up to 500 ns. The devices are suitable for directly driving IGBTs up to 1200 V/100 A and provide excellent common mode rejection (CMR) of 25 kV/s. Applications include IGBT/MOSFET gate drive, AC/Brushless DC motor drives, industrial inverters, and switch mode power supplies.
