Product Overview

The Broadcom ACPL-P349/W349 is an optically isolated power output stage designed for driving SiC/GaN MOSFETs and IGBTs. Leveraging BCDMOS technology, this gate drive optocoupler delivers high peak output current, superior rail-to-rail output voltage performance, and enhanced speed compared to previous generations. Its high peak output current and short propagation delay are crucial for fast SiC/GaN MOSFET switching, enabling reduced dead time and improved system efficiency. The rail-to-rail output voltage ensures optimal gate voltage for SiC/GaN MOSFETs or IGBTs, facilitating lower system power consumption and suitability for bootstrap power supply operation. With a high Common Mode Rejection (CMR) rating, it effectively handles large common mode noise in industrial motor drives and other power switching applications. The integrated LED current input with hysteresis eliminates the need for external Schmitt trigger circuits, preventing output oscillation.
