The Broadcom ACPL-P343 and ACPL-W343 are optically isolated power output stages designed for driving power IGBTs and MOSFETs in motor control inverter applications. These optocouplers feature an integrated circuit with a power output stage, offering high operating voltage range for gate-controlled devices. With a high peak output current and rail-to-rail output voltage, they are suitable for directly driving IGBTs up to 1200V/200A or for driving discrete power stages for higher-rated IGBTs. The devices provide high common mode rejection (CMR) and include under-voltage lockout (UVLO) protection with hysteresis. The input stage features hysteresis, eliminating the need for external Schmitt triggers. Packaged in a stretched SO6 form factor, these optocouplers facilitate compact designs and comply with industrial safety standards.
