The Broadcom ACPL-P341/W341 is an optically isolated power output stage designed for driving power IGBTs and MOSFETs in motor control inverter applications. It features a high operating voltage range, enabling it to provide the necessary drive voltages for gate-controlled devices. With a high peak output current and rail-to-rail output voltage, this optocoupler is ideal for directly driving IGBTs up to 1200V/50A or for driving discrete power stages for higher-rated IGBTs. The device incorporates an AlGaAs LED optically coupled to an integrated circuit with a power output stage, offering high common-mode rejection (CMR) for robust operation in noisy industrial environments. Its input stage includes hysteresis for stable operation, and it is available in a compact Stretched SO6 package, facilitating smaller and more efficient designs. The ACPL-P341/W341 is suitable for applications such as AC and Brushless DC motor drives, renewable energy inverters, industrial inverters, and switching power supplies.
